
An accident occurred on August 26 at the Artyomovsky mine in the Kuraginsky district of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, a 30-year-old Uzbek worker died at the scene after being trapped by a rock mass. Preliminary information indicates that the deceased Uzbek citizen was engaged in mining precious metals based on a work permit.
He was buried under falling rock formations while performing drilling operations at the Artyomovsky mine. He died from the injuries sustained.
At the time of the incident, the mine was operating as usual with a total of 48 people underground. No other workers were injured.
Currently, safety measures have been implemented at the accident site, and all actions are under control. The Krasnoyarsk regional prosecutor's office announced that an investigation will be conducted regarding the employer's compliance with labor protection and industrial safety regulations.
Specialists from the regional labor inspection and Rostekhnadzor have been involved in the investigation. The possibility of opening a criminal case is also being considered.
