Officials in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, are intensifying preparations for a possible eruption of Mount Fuji. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this process, they used artificial intelligence and computer simulations to demonstrate the worst-case scenario. Mount Fuji has not erupted since 1707, but officials, considering the possibility of an eruption, presented videos showing the power and impact of such an event.
According to government information in Tokyo, the volcano could erupt at any time without warning. Simulation results indicate that ash from the volcano would cover the capital within a radius of approximately 100 kilometers in a few hours.
This could lead to the shutdown of the transportation system, disruptions in food and electricity supplies, as well as long-term respiratory problems. The video emphasized the necessity for residents to prepare for disasters and take precautions in daily life.
It is also recommended to prepare canned food and first aid supplies in the family kitchen. The Tokyo government has so far reported no signs of eruption at Mount Fuji.
They stated that the simulation was developed to provide residents with accurate information and instructions on how to act in emergencies. Thus, officials consider it important to prepare in advance against the risk of an eruption.
