Thermoplan jobs at risk due to tariffs
Thermoplan, a company based in Switzerland, manufactures coffee machines for Starbucks. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

After the US President Donald Trump imposed a 39% tariff on Swiss products, the company has suffered significant financial losses. This situation is putting over 500 jobs at risk.

According to the company’s CEO Adrian Steiner, the new tariffs are causing losses of approximately 200,000 francs, or about 250,000 dollars, every week. Therefore, Thermoplan is considering options to move production to Germany or open a new factory in the US.

Experts warn that if the tariffs are not lifted, thousands of workers in Switzerland could become unemployed. Some companies are also exploring options to relocate production to the European Union.

The majority of Thermoplan’s products are exported abroad, and Starbucks is one of its largest customers. The current tariffs are also negatively affecting this partnership.

This situation could seriously impact the company’s operations and the lives of its employees.
