According to Vadim Filashkin, head of the regional military administration, the city was shelled with barrel artillery in the morning. As a result, eight people aged between 44 and 74 died, and six were injured.
The strike damaged two multi-story buildings, one private residence, a shop, a shopping center, and five pavilions in the market. Additionally, the enemy targeted civilian vehicles twice using FPV drones.
A 36-year-old woman was killed in these attacks, and another person was injured. According to the regional prosecutor's office, the victims were struck while at home, on the street, and inside a shop.
Investigations are ongoing, and damage assessments are being conducted. Vadim Filashkin emphasized that such attacks against civilians are deliberate and targeted tactics.
He called on people to protect themselves and their loved ones and to evacuate as quickly as possible. This appeal was published via Telegram.
It was also noted that official information may be updated. On September 4, a separate report stated that two more civilians were killed as a result of air bombs dropped on a hospital in Konstantinovka and the nearby village of Ilinovka.
