The registration period between Uzbekistan and Belarus has been extended

A new intergovernmental protocol has been signed between Uzbekistan and Belarus to significantly simplify mutual travel for citizens. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the document, citizens of both countries may now stay in the other country for up to ten days without registration at relevant authorities. Previously, this period was limited to just three days.
As stated by Amir Sultanov, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this agreement was signed during the official visit of a delegation to Belarus led by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The change represents an important step toward streamlining border crossing procedures and eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles for citizens.
The new arrangement will be particularly beneficial for Uzbek citizens traveling to Belarus for short-term visits. For example, entrepreneurs will be able to conduct short meetings and business negotiations without additional formalities.
It will also save time for applicants and students planning to submit documents for education. Citizens traveling for tourism or to visit relatives will no longer be burdened with registration requirements during their stay of up to ten days.
It should be noted that Uzbek citizens do not require a visa to enter Belarus. The new protocol specifically extends the duration of temporary registration after entry into the country.
This change will further strengthen economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two states. The previous three-day limit was often insufficient for many trips and caused certain inconveniences for citizens.
Now, the ten-day privilege will provide people with greater freedom. The agreement demonstrates that bilateral relations are developing positively not only at the high political level but also in the everyday lives of ordinary people.
Travelers are advised to plan their trips in accordance with these new rules.
