In the last two months, major floods in Pakistan have caused great disaster and suffering for the country's population. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Farid Abdulqadir Ayvar, the representative of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for Pakistan, 884 people died as a result of this natural disaster, and thousands were injured. Ayvar emphasized at a press conference held last week at the UN office in Geneva that Pakistan has been experiencing the strongest monsoon rains in history since June.
Floods occurred extensively in almost all regions of the country, especially in Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan, landslides took place, and many buildings were destroyed. As of September 5, 884 people have died, thousands were injured, and more than one million people were relocated to safe places.
This shows how greatly these monsoon rains affect nature and human life. Approximately 9,363 households were partially or completely destroyed, and millions of people in the affected areas have been deprived of clean drinking water, food, and medical assistance.
Therefore, it is necessary for the international community to provide rapid assistance and accelerate evacuation efforts. Currently, many charitable organizations and government agencies are actively working to provide prompt aid to the victims.
With their help, it is possible to save the lives of those affected and ensure the full recovery process.
