The French National Assembly expressed no confidence in the government led by Prime Minister François Bayrou and rejected it with 364 votes. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result, Bayrou was forced to submit his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron. President Macron can now appoint a new prime minister or dissolve the parliament and hold new elections.
Some political parties are also demanding the president himself to resign. The main proposal of Bayrou's government included temporarily suspending pensions and social payments to reduce the country's debt.
However, this proposal was rejected by both left-wing and right-wing parties, leading to the vote of no confidence in the government. Experts emphasize that France is facing significant financial difficulties.
At the same time, the main problems for the population remain the high cost of living, security, and immigration issues. This situation may negatively affect the country's political and social stability.
