Immigration raid at Hyundai factory detains 300 Koreans
An immigration raid was conducted at the Hyundai factory located in the state of Georgia, USA. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During this raid, more than 300 South Korean citizens were detained and later returned to their homeland, South Korea, via a special flight. Additionally, one of these workers chose to remain in the USA.

This incident caused widespread dissatisfaction in South Korea. President Lee Jae-myung emphasized that the detention of workers in such a manner damages the trust and investment relations between the two countries.

The head of Hyundai company announced that the raid would delay the factory's operations by at least two months. At the same time, LG Energy Solution noted that some employees possess valid visas.

The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs is requesting the US Congress to introduce new visas for employees of Korean companies. Experts have indicated that this incident could negatively affect the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Thus, the emerging situation may jeopardize the stability of economic relations between the two nations.
