The case of a student in Malaysia who faked his own kidnapping to avoid going to school has sparked widespread public debate. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the World of Buzz publication, the teenager filed a false report claiming he was kidnapped because he did not want to attend school. The boy and his father contacted the police, stating that someone tried to kidnap him while he was on his way to school.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the incident was not true and was entirely fabricated. Under pressure from law enforcement, the teenager admitted the truth.
He stated that he made up such lies to convince his father to let him stay at home. One of the police officers explained that the boy’s reluctance to go to school was due to his shoes being dirty.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, considering the boy’s age and circumstances, no criminal case was opened against him. Instead, the boy and his father were given an official warning.
The police are urging the public, especially parents, to explain to children the consequences of such actions. False reports waste police resources and can lead to legal problems for minors.
Similarly, in the Yuqori Chirchiq district of Tashkent region, there were also false reports about kidnappings, but the authorities and the Internal Affairs Department stated that no such incidents occurred.
