This figure is the lowest worldwide, as highlighted in a report published by “Exploding Topics.” According to the report, globally, people spend an average of 4 hours and 37 minutes on their phones daily.
Each person checks their device an average of 58 times per day. The most time, 5 hours and 43 minutes, is spent on phones by the population of Ghana.
Japanese people spend less than half the global average time using their phones. Among Generation Z representatives, three out of four openly admit to spending excessive time in front of their phones.
According to the data, people spend approximately 70 days per year looking at their smartphone screens. Phone usage is higher on working days compared to weekends.
Throughout the day, each person checks their device an average of 58 times, with about 30 of those checks occurring during work hours. In many cases, screen sessions start in close succession, and each usage lasts approximately 1 minute and 15 seconds.
The report studied 53 countries from different regions of the world. Four countries from South America ranked among the top ten highest users.
Additionally, three countries from Southeast Asia also made it into the top ten. Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, did not participate in this ranking.
