The Afghan government has begun restricting the use of optical fiber internet under the name of "fighting sins." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Kursive media, this decision is being implemented based on orders issued by the "Taliban." In particular, internet access has been completely cut off in Balkh province.
Local leaders justify these restrictions as a "fight against immorality." As a result of the internet service limitations, passport issuance and customs operations have come to a halt.
At the ministerial level, six officials have been sent to Kandahar. There are reports that the restrictions may soon spread to other provinces as well.
Additionally, according to journalist Bilol Sarvariy, sharp conflicts have arisen between the governor and the communications minister in Mazar city. In Kabul, there are protests against the internet restrictions.
These developments are further intensifying issues related to internet freedom and administrative governance in the country.
