Heart diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide
Recent research by scientists shows that cardiovascular diseases are the most common and leading cause of death worldwide. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Statistical data from 204 countries covering the period from 1990 to 2023 indicate that one in every three deaths was caused by these diseases. In 1990, 13.1 million people died due to cardiovascular diseases, while in 2023 this number reached 19.2 million.

In many regions, death rates among men are higher compared to women, indicating a higher prevalence of risk factors affecting men's health in this area. Cardiovascular diseases also rank first in the loss of healthy life years.

Experts emphasize that 80 percent of the risk factors leading to cardiovascular diseases can be prevented. Among these risk factors, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol levels play a significant role.

Therefore, it is necessary to educate the population about a healthy lifestyle, ensure proper nutrition, engage in regular physical activity, and strictly follow medical advice. These measures are crucial in preventing cardiovascular diseases and contribute to extending people's lives.
