39 people died in a political rally in Tamil Nadu
Dozens of people died as a result of a stampede at a political rally in India. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This tragedy that occurred in the state of Tamil Nadu has deeply saddened the entire country. According to reports, on the evening of September 27, well-known actor and political figure Vijay held a support gathering for his new party.

Although thousands of people attended the event, the limited space of the venue and the large crowd made ensuring safety difficult. According to witnesses, during the rally, when some people began moving towards the stage, the crowd surged and panic intensified.

As a result, many lost consciousness, and hundreds were injured after being trampled. Ambulances faced difficulties reaching the scene.

According to the latest information, at least 39 people have died, and more than 50 have been injured to varying degrees. Among the victims, children and women make up the majority.

The Indian government announced that families of the deceased will receive compensation of one million rupees. Additionally, it was promised that the causes of the incident will be thoroughly investigated and necessary measures will be taken to prevent such situations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the event as a "deeply sorrowful and tragic accident," wished a speedy recovery to the injured, and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Similar stampedes have occurred during religious festivals and sports events throughout the year in India, resulting in many fatalities.

This once again highlights the seriousness of ensuring safety during large-scale events in the country. This tragedy is a heavy lesson not only for Tamil Nadu but for all of India, as every human life is valuable and its protection is a priority for both the state and society.
