The issue of pension payments for labor migrants in Russia has been raised again. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Leonid Slutskiy, leader of the LDPR party, proposed canceling the pension payment system for labor migrants. According to him, the state budget must approach every ruble with calculation, as large funds are required for social and demographic programs.
Slutskiy stated that last year the net growth of migration reached 600 thousand people, which is the highest figure in the last 30 years. He also emphasized that receiving a pension is not only related to being officially registered but is also a result of active participation in state life.
This proposal is seen as one of the pressing issues regarding labor migration and the social protection system in Russia. It will soon become clear how the restrictions and new regulations imposed by the state will affect the rights and social protection of labor migrants.
At the same time, this issue is also widely discussed within Russian domestic politics.
