At the UN General Assembly, the event that occurred just before the start of Benjamin Netanyahu's 41-minute speech attracted more attention than the speech itself. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Major countries and many Arab states left the hall at the beginning of the speech or did not participate in the meeting at all. According to Israeli sources, a total of 77 country delegations were absent during the speech.
Among them were Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and Uzbekistan. Pakistani representatives left the hall and listened to the speech from outside.
At the same time, the delegations of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, which joined the "Abraham Accords" in 2020, remained in their seats to listen to the speech. This occurred despite calls regarding the war in Gaza and the annexation of territories on the West Bank.
Many media outlets highlighted photos of the empty hall as the main news. Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei also circulated these images, calling Israel "the most hateful and isolated regime."
This event sparked significant debates in international politics and demonstrated how complex relations at the UN are.
