These types of bikes are designed to overcome special obstacles and navigate uneven terrain. The previous record was 19 minutes and 4 seconds.
Orelen Fonteno completed the distance in 12 minutes and 30 seconds, improving the record by 6 minutes and 34 seconds. Fonteno is a three-time world vice-champion and has participated in numerous international competitions in the trial cycling discipline.
