North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced that in response to the United States strengthening its military forces in South Korea, the country has activated its "special resources." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He spoke about this at a military exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. The statement was released on Sunday, October 5, by Korean Central Television.
Kim Jong Un emphasized that the enemies should seriously consider their own security. According to him, the nuclear alliance between the US and South Korea is rapidly developing, and various military exercises are being conducted to test dangerous scenarios.
The US increase in military capabilities in the south is intensifying North Korea's strategic concerns in the region. Korean Central Television did not disclose the exact content of the "special resources."
However, in the published photos, Kim Jong Un can be seen walking through a range of various weapons and missiles alongside generals in an enclosed pavilion. Seoul officials state that Pyongyang is strengthening military cooperation with Russia and deepening ties with China.
Additionally, Kim Jong Un visited China in September. According to AFP, the US has permanently stationed approximately 28,500 troops in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.
Moreover, Washington conducted joint military exercises named Iron Mace with South Korea and Japan from September 15 to 19. At a time when military talks have intensified, North Korea's statement about "special resources" indicates a further complication of the security and balance situation in the region.
