Viktor Momotov, a retired judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, has been obliged by the Prosecutor General's Office to pay a state duty of 3000 rubles. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to a decision by the Ostankino District Court of Moscow, reported by RIA Novosti, the court also approved the confiscation of 95 real estate properties belonging to Momotov's partners — entrepreneur Andrey Marchenko and his son Ivan — for the benefit of the state.
Among these properties are the buildings of the “Marton” and “Vologda” hotels located in Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, and Rostov-on-Don. According to the prosecution, Momotov collaborated with members of an organized criminal group and other criminal individuals to illegally establish the hotel business and participated in the legalization process of the real estate.
The charges indicate that they evaded tax payments, causing approximately 500 million rubles in damage to the state. Viktor Momotov considers the charges against him to be unfounded and slanderous.
The court proceedings are ongoing, and further details related to the case will be announced later.
