According to the Passport Index data announced by Henley & Partners, in 2025 the US passport has dropped out of the list of the world's top ten strongest passports. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the new ranking, the American passport holds the 12th position, sharing this spot with the Malaysian passport. However, when analyzing the actual figures and considering that several countries have the same visa access, the US passport is effectively ranked 38th on the list.
This situation indicates a significant decline in the prestige of the American passport. For reference, American citizens have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 180 countries.
For comparison, holders of the Singapore passport, recognized as the world's strongest passport, have visa-free access to 193 countries. These changes reflect a decrease in the international standing of the US passport and suggest that changes in visa policies may create new restrictions for citizens.
Thus, it is clearly evident that the convenience level of the US passport has declined compared to before. This situation is certainly of great importance in the fields of travel and international relations.
