The Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt will reopen on Monday. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was provided by the Palestinian embassy in Egypt. The border has been closed since May 2024.
Now, Palestinians living in Egypt will have the opportunity to return to Gaza. According to UN data, an average of 560 tons of food has been entering Gaza daily in recent weeks, but this amount does not fully meet the needs of the area.
Due to war and blockade, there continues to be a shortage of food and medicine in Gaza. The Rafah border crossing was closed after Israeli forces took control of the Gaza side.
Currently, this border is reopening, allowing Palestinians living in Egypt to return to their homeland. According to UN data, more than 400 people have died due to war and hunger.
Although Israel denies these figures, restrictions on aid delivery are still ongoing. This situation is further worsening the condition of the population.
