Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has firmly rejected Russia's demand to withdraw its troops from Donetsk region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Local and foreign media outlets are reporting on this. Earlier, it became known that during a meeting with US President Donald Trump, Washington's special envoy Steve Whitkoff attempted to persuade Zelenskiy to withdraw troops from Donetsk region.
However, the Ukrainian leader completely refused such a proposal. Zelenskiy also announced that today he met with military commanders to discuss increasing the number of long-range strikes on Russian territory.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that regardless of the situation, the country will not give up any territory occupied by Russia. In his view, preserving the country's independence and territorial integrity is the most important task.
Ukraine remains determined to defend its lands and is not ready to cede any territory. This political stance is aimed at protecting the national interests of the country.
Zelenskiy's words express a firm decision to strengthen Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
