
The Ukrainian military forces have struck another important military facility on Russian territory. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on the evening of October 21 that an attack was carried out on a chemical plant located in Bryansk region. According to official information, the operation was conducted in cooperation with ground forces, the naval fleet, and other units of the defense system.
The attack involved the use of air-launched missiles of the Storm Shadow type. Ukrainian military personnel emphasized that these missiles allowed bypassing Russia's air defense system.
The Bryansk chemical plant is considered a crucial link in Russia's military-industrial complex. Gunpowder, explosives, and rocket fuel are produced there.
Additionally, ammunition used for shelling Ukrainian territory is also manufactured at this plant, according to the statement from the Ukrainian General Staff. The exact time of the strike has not yet been disclosed, but the results of the attack are being assessed.
Meanwhile, the governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported other incidents via Telegram. According to him, at approximately 20:00 Moscow time, Ukrainian forces attacked the village of Vishneviy in Klimovsk district using FPV drones, resulting in injuries to two civilians.
Later, relying on information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Bogomaz stated that air defense systems detected and destroyed 57 enemy drones and that there were no casualties. However, he did not comment on the attack on the chemical plant.
The governor also announced that there were two missile threat alerts in Bryansk region. The first alert was issued at 17:00 Moscow time and was canceled after one hour.
The next alert was announced at 00:30, at midnight. This attack is one of the latest strikes by Ukraine on Russia's military production infrastructure, with experts interpreting it as evidence of Kyiv's expanding strategic strike capabilities.
