Russian President Vladimir Putin led the planned exercises of the strategic nuclear forces via video link. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Kremlin press service, these exercises were conducted to test the readiness of the country's defense system and to demonstrate intercontinental military capabilities. During the exercise, an "Yars" intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome to the Kura training ground in Kamchatka.
Additionally, a ballistic missile from the "Sineva" series was launched from the "Bryansk" nuclear submarine located in the Barents Sea region. Tu-95MS long-range strategic bomber aircraft launched cruise missiles in the air.
These practical exercises were aimed at testing the readiness level of the Russian military command bodies and the skills of managing rapid deployment forces. According to the Kremlin statement, all tasks set during the exercise were fully completed, and the troops successfully carried out the assigned missions.
Their main goal is to check the ability of strategic forces to operate reliably under any conditions. Such exercises are held regularly every year in Russia.
In previous years, especially in 2023 and 2024, similar strategic tests were also conducted. Through these exercises, the Kremlin aims to demonstrate the constant readiness of nuclear forces and maintain military-strategic stability.
According to analysts, such exercises serve not only to strengthen Russia's defense capabilities but also to send geopolitical signals on the international stage.
