Although the fighting in Gaza has stopped, thousands of patients, especially children, remain in critical condition. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 15,000 people urgently need treatment abroad, but permission has not yet been granted. A 10-year-old Amar Abu Said is being treated at Nasser Hospital.
He was injured by a bullet while sitting in a tent with his family, and the lower part of his neck is paralyzed. His mother says a complex surgical operation is needed, but such facilities are not available in Gaza.
Due to the war, hospitals in Gaza are operating under very difficult conditions. There is a shortage of medicines, medical equipment, and electricity.
Although doctors can diagnose diseases, they do not have the means to fully treat patients. Recently, 41 patients were taken from Gaza to Jordan, but specialists emphasize that this number is very small.
According to them, if permission is granted, patients from Gaza can be treated in hospitals in Jerusalem and the West Bank. Israel has not opened the Rafah border crossing, citing Hamas's failure to fulfill its obligations as the reason.
Meanwhile, 740 people, including 140 children, have died waiting to leave for treatment. This situation highlights the severe problems of the healthcare system and urgently requires international assistance.
