Putin's popularity reaches record levels in Russia
According to a new survey conducted in Russia, Vladimir Putin's popularity has reached its highest level in recent years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to data from the Institute of Socio-Political Research under the Russian Academy of Sciences, 65 percent of survey participants supported the president's activities. This figure is a record result in the institute's history.

In 2000, only 12 percent of Russians considered Putin beneficial for the country, while in 2018 this number reached 54 percent. After the war in Ukraine began, the support level increased again, exceeding 60 percent.

In the survey, Joseph Stalin took second place. Forty-five percent of respondents evaluated his activities positively.

The Soviet-era leader's rating reached its highest level in the last thirty years. In 2016, this figure was 31 percent, in 2022 it was 40 percent, and in 2025 it reached 45 percent.

Additionally, the number of people expressing positive opinions about Nicholas II and Leonid Brezhnev also increased. Sixteen percent of respondents rated Nicholas II positively, and 24 percent did so for Brezhnev.

The most negative ratings were given to Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin. Fifty-nine percent of Russians identified Gorbachev, and 56 percent identified Yeltsin as the most harmful leaders in the country's history.

These results indicate changing opinions about historical figures within Russian society.
