In Tashkent, a pulmonologist driver delivered a baby
On October 21 in Tashkent, a Yandex Go driver assisted with an unexpected childbirth of a passenger. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The driver is actually a pulmonologist who started working as a taxi driver during the summer months to earn extra income. On that day, his only order was around 11:30 from the Bektemir district.
In the car were a pregnant woman, her mother-in-law, and a small child. The woman was heading to the 5th city maternity hospital, but the childbirth process began on the way.
After driving a few kilometers and noticing clear signs of labor, the driver stopped the car and provided assistance using his medical knowledge. Together with the mother-in-law, he successfully delivered the baby.
Afterwards, he took the mother and the newborn to a nearby emergency point, from where they were transported to the maternity hospital. According to the driver, the condition of the mother and baby is currently stable and good.
Although he said he does not know the baby's name, he emphasized that he will never forget this life-changing event. This incident once again highlighted the importance of humanity and prompt assistance.
