Russia's 'Poseidon' nuclear device tested
The Russian Federation has announced the successful completion of a new testing phase for the strategic underwater device "Poseidon." This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This device is equipped with a nuclear power system, which is one of its main technological advantages. President Vladimir Putin highly praised the test results, calling this achievement a "major success."

According to the information, the device was successfully launched from a submarine. The President emphasized that the most important aspect of the testing process was the activation and effective operation of the device's nuclear power system.

Putin noted that the device operated successfully for a certain period during this process. According to the President, the "Poseidon" surpasses even the new generation "Sarmat" intercontinental missile in its tactical and technical characteristics.

The device's speed and operational depth are unmatched worldwide. "No country has been able to develop such a device so far, and it will remain impossible in the near future," Putin said.

He also added that there are no effective methods to stop this device. The "Poseidon" is known as the main component of Russia's ocean multipurpose system, which has been under development since 2018.

This system includes special nuclear submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles attached to them. The Russian Navy command has emphasized that the primary goal of this system is to maintain strategic balance and ensure global military stability.

The idea of nuclear-powered torpedoes was first proposed in the 1950s in the USSR by academician Andrei Sakharov. However, at that time, the project was rejected due to ethical and technical reasons.

Today, the "Poseidon" successfully demonstrates the practical implementation of such ideas.
