Court proceedings continue regarding the Moscow explosion
Court proceedings are ongoing regarding the explosion that occurred on Sinyavinskaya Street in Moscow in the summer of 2024. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the investigation, a homemade mine was found installed under the car of a colonel serving in the Russian defense system. As a result of the explosion, the military serviceman and his wife were injured, and several million rubles worth of damage was caused to nearby buildings and vehicles.

The incident has been classified as an act of terrorism, and a criminal case has been opened. The accused is identified as a person who previously worked as a bank analyst in Uzbekistan.

According to the investigation, he participated in preparing the explosion and illegally storing explosive materials. During the court proceedings, the accused fully admitted his guilt and expressed readiness to take responsibility for his actions.

The investigative authorities have assessed these actions as a planned terrorist act aimed against Russian security. The trial is being held openly.

Currently, the court is in the phase of reviewing evidence and questioning witnesses. The accused faces charges under several articles of Russian law, including “preparation for a terrorist act,” “illegal storage of explosive materials,” and “actions threatening public safety.”

If the court fully proves his guilt, the accused may be sentenced to a long-term prison term. At the same time, until the court verdict comes into legal force, every person is considered innocent.

This case has attracted wide public attention in Russia and sparked discussions about security measures against terrorism. The court proceedings continue, and the verdict is expected to be announced by the end of the year.
