US President Donald Trump emphasized Central Asia as an "extremely rich region" during the "C5+1" summit. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He particularly added that Washington is showing interest in strategically important minerals. According to Reuters agency, Trump announced that in recent weeks agreements have been signed with allies and partners worldwide aimed at expanding the supply of critical minerals to strengthen US economic security.
The agency noted that competition for Central Asia's mineral resources is intensifying. Western countries aim to diversify raw material supply routes.
At the same time, it was reported that the US is seeking new partners to secure critical minerals, energy resources, and trade routes through channels that bypass rival states. During Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's meeting with US business representatives, a number of agreements were signed.
In particular, cooperation agreements on rare earth elements were reached with Denali Exploration Group and Re Element Technologies companies. These documents serve to develop bilateral economic relations.
