
According to Ukrainian officials, Russia targeted transformer substations supplying power to the Rivne nuclear power plant using drones and missiles during nighttime attacks. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of these attacks, seven people were killed, and some residential buildings were also damaged. In the city of Dnipro, drones struck a residential building, resulting in three deaths and 12 injuries.
In Zaporizhzhia region, three people died, and in Kharkiv region, one person was killed. Additionally, power outages occurred in Kyiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions, leaving thousands of people without electricity and water supply.
Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Svitlana Grinchuk, emphasized that the network has been stabilized but warned that further outages may occur in the future. The company Tsentrenergo described these attacks as the most significant damage since 2022 and temporarily halted operations at plants in Kyiv and Kharkiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded the intensification of sanctions against Russia. According to him, every attack targeting energy infrastructure aims to make ordinary people's lives more difficult, and sanctions against Russian energy resources must be imposed.
