China's cybersecurity agency announced that the US government has stolen approximately $13 billion worth of bitcoin. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was reported by the Bloomberg news agency. It concerns 127,300 bitcoin tokens stolen from the LuBian mining basin in December 2020.
China's National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center described this incident as a "state-level hacking operation." The center emphasized that this is a classic "black-on-black" operation carried out by a hacker group organized by the state.
Additionally, Chinese regulators linked the stolen bitcoins to tokens belonging to Chen Chji, head of the Prince Group in Cambodia, which were confiscated by the US government. This case once again highlights the urgent need to pay serious attention to cybersecurity issues on an international scale.
