According to the annual analysis by the Metals Focus analytical center, silver mining volume in Kazakhstan is expected to decrease by 0.6 million ounces by 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decline is explained by various changes in the precious metals mining process worldwide. According to the data, global silver mining volume is forecasted to remain around 813 million ounces in 2025.
Because the increase in mining volume in some regions compensates for the decrease in others. The largest growth is expected in countries such as Mexico (+5.3 million ounces), Russia (+4.5 million ounces), Morocco (+3 million ounces), and Canada (+1.5 million ounces).
Additionally, a slight increase may also be observed in the USA and Chile. At the same time, a significant decrease in mining volume is projected in some countries.
Specifically, declines are expected in Indonesia (–5.7 million ounces), Peru (–5.1 million ounces), Argentina (–2.9 million ounces), and Bolivia (–1.6 million ounces). In Australia, mining volume may decrease by 0.9 million ounces.
According to experts, the decrease in mining volume in South America, Australia, and Indonesia will be offset by growth in North America and Russia. Therefore, the global production volume will remain stable.
