Upon arriving in Beijing, he first visited the Imperial Palace. On December 4, Macron is scheduled to meet with Xi Jinping, the President of the People's Republic of China, for important negotiations.
During the talks, the main topics will be the cessation of the war in Ukraine and the complexities in trade relations between France and China. Macron emphasized his intention to urge China to pressure Russia and call on Beijing to reduce global economic imbalances.
One of the highlights of the visit is that Macron was accompanied by a delegation of major French business representatives. This delegation includes leaders from Airbus, EDF, and Danone.
During the visit, several economic agreements are expected to be signed, particularly in the transport and energy sectors. According to information from the Elysee Palace, many disagreements regarding customs issues have been resolved.
However, some problems still remain concerning the supply of lamb and dairy products to China. Emmanuel Macron's visit to China is regarded as an important step aimed at strengthening trade and political cooperation between the two countries.
