Netflix plans to acquire Warner Bros

Netflix plans to acquire Warner Bros, including the film studio, television studio, HBO, and HBO Max platforms. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by Netflix's press service. The deal is estimated to be worth $82.7 billion.
The transaction is expected to be fully completed in the third quarter of 2026, after the reorganization of Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is finalized. As a result of this agreement, the world's largest streaming service and one of the most popular film studios will merge.
Netflix's library will be enriched with popular franchises and classic films such as "Harry Potter," "Friends," "Game of Thrones," "The Sopranos," DC movies, "Gone with the Wind," and "Casablanca." These projects will further complement Netflix’s popular series like “Stranger Things,” “Money Heist,” “Bridgerton,” and “Squid Game.”
The traditional theatrical release of Warner Bros films will continue. At the same time, Warner Bros projects will gain access to Netflix’s global platform.
The deal has already been approved by the boards of directors of both companies. Completion requires the consent of WBD shareholders and regulatory authorities.
The full completion of the process is expected within 12-18 months.
