On December 10, 2025, former US President Donald Trump officially launched the long-announced special immigration program called the "Trump Gold Card." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This program offers foreign individuals and corporations the opportunity to obtain legal status in the USA and later acquire citizenship. For this, individuals are required to make a payment of 1 million dollars, while companies must pay 2 million dollars per employee.
According to Donald Trump, this program aims to attract the best talents to the USA and generate significant revenue for the national budget. He described this initiative as stronger and much more powerful compared to the "green card."
The funds collected from the program are directed to a special account managed by the US Department of the Treasury. A dedicated portal for obtaining the card – Trumpcard.gov – has been launched.
To submit an application, an initial processing fee of 15 thousand dollars must be paid. Additionally, applicants undergo security and background checks.
Those who successfully pass these stages can obtain US resident status within a short period by making the main payment of 1 million dollars. Within the program, there is also another option called the "Platinum Card."
This card, in exchange for a 5 million dollar payment, allows holders to live in the USA for up to 270 days annually and exempts them from paying taxes on income earned abroad. Furthermore, a special card variant for corporations has been introduced to facilitate the hiring of foreign employees.
Trump emphasized that this program enables the retention and employment of the best graduates from US universities within the country. This is not only beneficial for the national economy but also serves to strengthen the USA's leadership on a global scale.
Nevertheless, the program has faced criticism. Some Democrats and migrant rights advocates view this initiative as creating privileges solely for the wealthy.
Trump's strict immigration policies continue to provoke various debates within the country.
