US President Donald Trump has made a decision to ban citizens of seven countries from entering the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to an official White House statement, this restriction applies to citizens of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, Laos, and Sierra Leone. The White House administration emphasized that this decision was made to ensure national security.
Officials stated that these countries do not meet US security standards for screening individuals, verifying documents, and sharing information. Therefore, strict measures were deemed necessary to prevent potential threats.
It was reported that this issue was discussed in December. During a meeting with the President, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem proposed a complete ban on entry to the US for citizens of certain countries.
As a result, this initiative was implemented. At the same time, the approach towards some countries was reconsidered.
For example, citizens of Turkmenistan were allowed to enter the US on non-immigrant visas. This indicates that Washington evaluates each country individually when making decisions.
Experts believe that these restrictions may lead to international discussions. However, for the White House, the main issue is ensuring the country's security.
The Trump administration once again demonstrated its commitment to the principle of “security first”
