Poor friends found a 15-carat diamond in Madhya Pradesh

Two friends living in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh — Satish Hatik and Sajid Muhammad — encountered a fortunate event. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
They found a precious 15.34-carat diamond on a rented plot of land. This was reported by the BBC publication.
The discovered diamond was examined by the city’s official appraiser, who confirmed its high quality. According to appraiser Anupam Singh, the market value of this diamond is between 5–6 million rupees, which is approximately 55–66 thousand US dollars.
The precious stone is planned to be auctioned in the near future. The friends do not intend to spend the income from this find on a luxurious lifestyle or business.
Their main goal is to arrange marriages for their sisters and provide financial support to their families. According to information, 24-year-old Satish Hatik works at a butcher shop, while 23-year-old Sajid Muhammad is engaged in fruit trading.
Both come from poor families, have been friends since childhood, and are the youngest children in their families. The Panna district, where the diamond was found, has long been famous for searching for precious stones.
However, this area is one of the economically most backward regions of India, facing problems such as poverty, water scarcity, and unemployment.
