The Coral Adventurer cruise ship hit the rocks off the coast of Papua New Guinea. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident occurred during the ship's first voyage after leaving a passenger on the island in October. According to the ship's representatives, all passengers and crew members are safe.
Preliminary inspections revealed that the ship did not sustain serious damage. Detailed inspections are scheduled to take place on Sunday.
A representative of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) emphasized that no emergency call for assistance was made by the ship. At the same time, they stated that they are monitoring the situation and are ready to assist the Papua New Guinea government if necessary.
It is known that the ship was under investigation in October for leaving 80-year-old Suzanne Rees on Lizard Island. Following this incident, the remainder of the ship's voyage was canceled and passengers were fully refunded.
No decision has yet been made regarding the conclusion of the current voyage.
