Iran Stabilized the Unrest in Malekshahi

Iranian state media denied reports in Western press that "protesters have taken control of Malekshohiy district in the west of the country." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official statements, after several hours of tense situation, the situation in Malekshohiy has been fully stabilized. This was reported by kursiv.uz.
Earlier, Fox News had reported that Malekshohiy and the city of Abdanan in Ilam province had fallen into the hands of protesters. According to Iranian news agencies, various provocations were organized by radical groups during the unrest.
Specifically, banks were destroyed, documents and equipment were lost, and shots were fired at law enforcement officers. Mass protests in Iran began at the end of December due to the sharp devaluation of the national currency.
The public's discontent was caused by fluctuations in the rial exchange rate and rising prices. As a result of these events, the head of the Central Bank, Mohammad Farzin, resigned.
On December 31, by presidential decree, Abdolnaser Hemmati was appointed in his place.
