Negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the USA will be held in the UAE

Following important meetings within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, it has been announced that trilateral talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and the USA are planned. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These meetings are expected to take place on January 23–24 in the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by podrobno.uz.
On January 22, in Davos, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks for one hour. At the end of the meeting, Trump briefly described the meeting as “went well,” saying “everyone wants the war to end,” and then departed from Switzerland.
However, Western media are interpreting this dialogue cautiously. According to the Financial Times, Zelensky was unable to formalize clear commitments regarding security guarantees and post-war reconstruction.
Additionally, documents agreed upon with the Trump administration were not signed. In his speech in Davos, Zelensky criticized European leaders for indecisiveness caused by internal disagreements.
He emphasized that Europe lacks sufficient political will and stated that the continent is unable to present itself as a global power. Zelensky also criticized the “peace council” initiative proposed by Trump, noting that Europe does not have a unified position on this matter.
The Ukrainian president called on Europeans to stop smuggling Russian oil through illicit channels and to seize such shipments. He also described the situation in Iran as tragic and accused the international community of not taking adequate measures to support the people of Iran.
The meetings expected to be held in the UAE were described by Zelensky as “technical-level” talks. During these, delegations from the three countries will discuss possible agreement details over two days.
It was also announced that on January 22, direct talks between US representatives and Russian President Vladimir Putin were planned.
