Trump: Military action on Iran remains uncertain

US President Donald Trump did not give a clear answer to questions about the possibility of military action against Iran. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, Washington has a contingency plan and the US naval fleet is operating based on the situation in the region. Trump made these statements during a meeting with journalists at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22.
He confirmed that a large US naval fleet is heading to the region but emphasized that it may not be necessary to use it. Additionally, Trump stated that he does not want to use force against Tehran and that Iran's actions are being closely monitored.
According to Reuters, in the coming days, the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" and several warships equipped with guided missiles are expected to arrive in the Middle East. Furthermore, the US may deploy air defense systems to protect its bases in the region.
These statements were made against the backdrop of mass protests that began in Iran. According to the HRANA organization based in the US, over 5,000 people have died during the suppression of the protests, including demonstrators, government officials, and bystanders.
Additionally, thousands of people have been detained. Representatives of the Iranian government have partially confirmed this information.
Earlier, Trump had warned Iran that if protesters were killed en masse, Tehran could face severe strikes. However, in recent days, he has spoken in a somewhat softer tone, noting that Iran has refrained from some harsh measures.
The main question remains whether the US naval movements are intended to increase pressure and achieve a diplomatic outcome, or if events are moving to a new phase. Trump's "we'll see" comment leaves the situation uncertain.
