US Aircraft Carrier in the Middle East: Exercise or Pressure?

Reports have emerged that the US Navy's "Abraham Lincoln" carrier strike group has arrived in the Middle East region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information, the aircraft carriers and other accompanying military ships are expected to participate in training exercises within the framework of possible scenarios around Iran. Additionally, there are reports that additional systems, including modern complexes like THAAD, may be delivered to the region in the coming days to strengthen air defense capabilities.
US officials have also emphasized that discussions are underway regarding enhancing air defense potential. The "Abraham Lincoln" nuclear-powered aircraft carrier entered service in 1989 and belongs to the "Nimitz" class.
Its length is 332.8 meters. The ship is powered by two nuclear reactors with a total output equivalent to 260,000 horsepower.
Its maximum speed exceeds 30 knots. This aircraft carrier has a crew of over 5,000 members and can carry up to 90 airplanes and helicopters.
However, on social media, there are claims that the ship's "displacement is 880 thousand tons." In reality, open sources indicate its displacement is around 104 thousand long tons or approximately 100 thousand tons.
Such figures may sometimes be exaggerated for "sensationalism." Overall, the arrival of another large military resource in the Middle East could further complicate the situation in the region.
Whether this show of force is pressure for negotiations or an initial signal for new events, the coming days will reveal.
