The number of traffic accident victims is sharply increasing in Kyrgyzstan

The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, announced the severe statistics of road traffic accidents (RTA) in the country over recent years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, over the past 10 years, 9,120 people have died as a result of RTAs, and 13,260 people have sustained injuries of varying degrees. The President emphasized that the majority of those injured later face disability.
This means an additional burden on the state regarding social assistance and pensions. Sadir Japarov also mentioned that such tragedies have occurred in his own family.
He recalled that his brother and his wife died in a car accident, while their four children survived despite sustaining various injuries. Additionally, the President noted that his eldest son Dastan also passed away in 2019 due to an RTA.
According to the information, 27-year-old Dastan died from severe injuries after colliding with a car while riding a motorcycle in Bishkek. The President believes that these numbers are not just statistics but painful truths connected to every human life.
He stressed the necessity of strict adherence to traffic rules, improving road culture, and strengthening control. “Every person behind the wheel must feel responsibility.
Errors such as speeding, not maintaining distance, or using a phone lead to serious consequences,” Japarov said. The President’s view is that road safety is not just a matter of fines or cameras but directly affects the fate of thousands of families.
If every driver and passenger deeply understands their responsibility and acts accordingly, the number of tragedies on the roads can be reduced. To ensure order and safety on the roads, every person must start with themselves.
The road does not forgive; it only calculates.
