Aliyev and Pashinyan continued peace negotiations

A meeting took place in Abu Dhabi between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The negotiations discussed issues related to normalizing relations between the two countries and ensuring stability. According to the official statement, the parties noted positive developments regarding the implementation of agreements reached at the peace summit mediated by the US President in Washington.
The main emphasis in the talks was on consistently continuing the normalization process. The leaders stressed the need to support this process not only through official agreements but also through ongoing dialogue and practical actions.
It was noted that peace must be strengthened not only on paper but through tangible results in real life. Trade relations between the two countries have begun.
It was welcomed that oil products are being supplied from Azerbaijan to Armenia, and that grain and other goods from third countries are being transited to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. The parties agreed to explore opportunities to expand trade and economic cooperation.
Additionally, the issue of activating dialogue between representatives of civil society was discussed. Such visits were emphasized to help reduce distances between people and promote better mutual understanding between societies.
It was noted that peace must be reinforced not only politically but also through dialogue between societies. Projects in the transport and communications sectors, including the TRIPP initiative, were discussed during the meeting.
It was stated that practical steps in this direction are of great importance for implementing the agreements in practice. At the end of the meeting, Aliyev and Pashinyan once again confirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts to ensure peace and stability.
