A crocodile attacked a man who was fleeing from elephants in Zambia

A man trying to escape from elephants in Zambia experienced a tragic incident. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by the local police, the incident occurred while a citizen named Din Nirenda was fishing with two friends. They unexpectedly encountered aggressive elephants.
The three of them started running to save their lives. Nirenda, in an attempt to hide, dived into a river nearby.
Unfortunately, at that moment, a crocodile attacked him and bit his right leg.
Nirenda resisted the crocodile, struck it with a stick, and managed to get out of the water.
His friends, who were watching the incident, immediately came to help and took him to a safe place. They tried to stop his bleeding, but it was impossible to save Nirenda's life.
Officials emphasize that due to the increasing number of elephants in Zambia, conflicts between people and wild animals are becoming more frequent. According to experts, the Luangwa River flowing through South Luangwa National Park is one of the areas with the highest population of Nile crocodiles.
For this reason, the Zambian government and wildlife conservation organizations are urging local residents and tourists to be cautious in areas inhabited by wild animals.
