Social networks ban for children planned in the Czech Republic

The Czech government is considering banning the use of social networks for children under 15 years old. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's Prime Minister, Andrej Babiš, announced his support for this initiative. In his statement, he emphasized that this decision is being made inspired by France's experience.
"I am in favor of this ban because experts say that social networks have a negative impact on children. We need to protect children," said Babiš.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček, the government plans to consult with experts on this issue and prepare an official proposal by the end of the year. He described the negative impact of social networks on children's lives as a problem on the level of a "plague" and stressed the need to address this issue seriously.
It should be recalled that in January, the French National Assembly approved a similar bill in the first reading. Additionally, Australia plans to ban access to social networks for children under 16 starting from 2025.
Spain is also developing a new plan in this regard. Currently, protecting children from online dangers remains a pressing topic on the agenda of many countries.
