Ruslan Soliqov Accused of Organizing a Criminal Organization

Serious charges have been brought against Ruslan Soliqov, the former first deputy defense minister of Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Basman court decision, Soliqov will be held under house arrest for one month and 29 days. According to the investigation, Soliqov is suspected of organizing a criminal organization that operated from 2017 to 2024.
This group is believed to have embezzled state budget funds and subsequently laundered them. The investigative authorities also accuse Soliqov of bribery.
Currently, 12 episodes are under review, and he may face up to 20 years in prison for organizing a criminal organization. Additionally, during the investigation, numerous real estate properties registered in his and his family members' names, including land plots and residential buildings, have been identified.
His children also own businesses generating significant income in the construction and real estate management sectors. It is worth noting that Ruslan Soliqov was dismissed from his position by a decree of President Vladimir Putin in June 2024.
He is known as one of the close associates of former defense minister Sergey Shoigu. So far, these charges are part of the investigation's version, and all details are expected to be clarified during the court proceedings.
