Israeli military forces carried out an airstrike on the "Ramada" hotel located in the center of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by Reuters agency based on the Lebanese Ministry of Health, four people were killed as a result of this attack and ten civilians sustained varying degrees of injuries. This incident was recorded as the first attack on central Beirut.
The Israeli Defense Forces announced that this strike targeted senior commanders of the "Quds" forces. According to the official statement from Tel Aviv, these individuals were involved in planning attacks against Israel.
The military emphasized that all necessary measures were taken to minimize casualties among the civilian population. Earlier, the "Hezbollah" group had escalated the situation in the region by attacking Israeli territory with rockets and drones.
The actions of this group, supported by Iran, are considered a response to the strikes carried out by Israel and the United States across Iran. In response, Israel launched large-scale military operations in southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as in areas surrounding the capital.
According to official data, nearly 300 people have lost their lives as a result of the clashes, and hundreds of thousands of civilians have been forced to leave their homes.
