Mojtaba Khamenei Elected as Iran Supreme Leader

Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been elected as Iran's supreme leader. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's Supreme Religious Council officially announced this decision. After the decision was made, the council members called on Iranians to strengthen national unity and unite around the new leader.
The statement distributed by state media emphasized that the selection was made through a strict voting process. Mojtaba Khamenei's appointment marks the first time since the 1979 Islamic Revolution that supreme power has passed from father to son.
This situation may spark new debates about the formation of a dynastic governance system in the country. The Iranian armed forces and parliamentary leadership supported this decision, calling it a religious and national duty.
At the same time, this appointment is causing sharp reactions on the international stage. US President Donald Trump called Mojtaba Khamenei an unacceptable candidate and emphasized that Washington must maintain its influence over Iran's future political direction.
Israeli military officials announced that they will continue to monitor all successors of Ali Khamenei. According to analysts, this decision could potentially escalate conflicts and tensions in the region.
Yemeni Houthis considered the election of the new leader as another success of the Islamic Revolution and congratulated him. Although 56-year-old Mojtaba Khamenei has never held any elected position before, he has been active at the center of Iranian power for many years.
