Air India aircraft makes a hard landing at Phuket Airport, Thailand

An Air India Express passenger aircraft experienced an unexpected technical issue during landing at the international airport in Phuket, a popular city in Thailand. Zamin.uz reported on this incident.
According to initial information, the aircraft carrying a total of 140 people was forced to make a hard landing due to a malfunction with the landing gear. As a result of this incident, the front wheel section of the aircraft was severely damaged, and the airliner skidded on the runway while moving at high speed, slightly deviating from its intended path.
Due to the incident, operations at Phuket Airport were temporarily suspended, significantly affecting flight schedules. Other flights had to wait or choose alternative routes.
Based on official information, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with registration number VT-BWQ was operating a direct flight from Hyderabad, India to Phuket. The aircraft carried a total of 140 people, including 133 passengers and the remaining crew members.
Initial reports state that there were no casualties among people as a result of the incident. All passengers and crew members are safe and have been evacuated from the airport area using special transport vehicles.
Currently, the exact causes of the incident are under investigation, and technical inspections by experts are expected to be conducted. Based on the inspection results, necessary measures will be taken to ensure future flight safety.
